Well, Major League Baseball has taken over the LA Dodgers. This, to me, raises so many questions. Frank McCourt leveraged a bunch of money to pay for the Dodgers, right? Who did he pay it to? The previous owners? Ok. So how can the MLB just “take” his team? Do they buy it from him? Does he get an IOU?

Obviously I’m not in the loop on how a massive franchise takeover happens inside a billion dollar multi city industry. What are the odds.

Oh, and the NBA has started their 14 month playoff season. And hockey started the playoffs too. Just like last year, every team made the playoffs, or so it seems.

So much sports. Now I just need a cohost that cares about something other than the Blackhawks, because they are getting routed by Vancouver.

Barry Bonds was convicted! Convicted! Of ONE count of OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE! Whooooooooo Hooooooooo.

Wait? What? A mistrial on all 3 counts of perjury? He won’t serve ANY jailtime? Hmmmmmm…… Yeah. This was kinda a big waste, wasn’t it? Yeah yeah, I know, you have to go after people for perjury or everyone will lie. But what about people that CLEARLY lied, and then are NOT convicted when they tell you to stick it?

Ah, April Showers. Something about April weather is fantastic. It’s usually a perfect temperature for me and I get all excited to be outside. Then you get a weird day when its 70 and you feel like you’re in a sauna that’s on fire. Then the next day its great again, until it rains, which you curse. Then it’s great again and you start thinking about golf. Then a tornado hits.

April. Gotta love it.

I know it’s the day before April Fools, and yes I messed with everyone’s mouse before I went home from the office, but it still feels like sort of a “blah” week. It’s nice, but not quite nice enough to REALLY enjoy the outside. With a beer.

You know what? I’m going to do exactly that. Tomorrow. I’m going to enjoy the outside with a beer, regardless of the weather. It can be hailing, and I’ll be out there with an umbrella (not my good one. One of Kel’s) and a beer. Because that’s the kind of dedication I have.

And VCU in the final four? Only a situation like that could cause a sane person to question whether the BCS does it right.

Ok, really, I never enjoyed spring break. Not once. I either studied to catch up, or took an accelerated class to get credits. I’m serious. Only in hindsight to I realize how lame that sounds. But guess who doesn’t have an STD that he caught from some random drunk girl in Daytona Beach? This guy.

I’m back. Finally. It’s good to have help. Especially help that can run the board when I’m gone. The downside is that I forgot my backpack in the car I left at work which had my headphones in it, so now I have to slum it and use “studio” headphones. What a world.

Jim Tressel. Nicely done. You’ve gone and given sweatervests a bad name. And I find it particularly impressive that you were able to sit there with a straight face and talk about how all your players are going to sit out 5 games for doing this dastardly deed, all the while you knew about it 8 moths previously. This is not going to go well for you, Mr. Tressel. And don’t think that the University “came down on you” either with that 250k. The NCAA is going to HAMMER you. Expect to miss Big 10 games. Expect to lose some of those games.

And fill out a bracket. 1 bracket. Not 10, not 7 not 2, ONE bracket. Okay, you can fill out 10 brackets, but they all have to be IDENTICAL; essentially one bracket. One bracket. period.

Well, shows that I’m not actually THERE for, they get a “B” on the end of their name. One of them even had a “C”. You can imagine why I’d be gone for that long. I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t as bad for me as it was for my wife. Frankly, it wasn’t that bad on me at all.

Well, hopefully the show is in capable hands. I suppose we’ll find out, hmmm? In all seriousness I think it’s about time that Mandy took the reigns, don’t you? We’ll see how she does trying to wrangle in you donut-shoppers.

Oh yeah, get ready for an NFL lockout. I’m calling it now. 100% chance. And not that weatherman 100% chance of snow, and then it DOESN’T snow. What’s up with that. How can it be 100% if it doesn’t happen? You guys are weathermen! You’ve spent the last 100 years being vague. 40% chance. What is that all about. Slightly less than a coinflip that it happens? And now you go to 100%? Really? You’re really going to put yourself on the line like that.
